How do I create a masked DNS server(how to use our nameserver)?
| Helm allows for the configuration of a "Personal DNS".
Basically, this means you can "appear" to have your own DNS servers when you actually are using ours.
There are several configuration settings that need to be in place before you can start using your personal DNS.
| STEP 1: You'll need to contact us |
|
or by submitting a ticket requesting personal DNS be set up. When we receive your support request, we will assign you 2 IP's that you will use to register.
NS1.yourdomain.com and NS2.yourdomain.com.
|
| STEP 2 :You'll need to work with your registrar |
|
You'll need to work with your registrar to associate the two IP's we give you with your NS records. We are not responsible for setting this up for you if you have not registered the domain through us.
|
If you ask us to register your domain through us, we'll configure everything for you and notify when it is complete.
| STEP 3: Configure Helm |
|
We will configure Helm for you to ensure your IP's are loaded in the system and properly assigned. When completed, we will notify you and you can begin signing up your customers. Their DNS entries will reflect NS1.yourdomain.com and NS2.yourdomain.com when doing an NS lookup on their domains.
